My latest work is fresh off the bench. A brooch with mixed metals. I really enjoyed fabricating this blooming flower brooch. The flowers spin. It took me back to my mixed media days. I had fun playing with all the components and different metals. I challenged myself to add color without it being a stone. I love how titanium goes through its color changes when touch with a flame. I want to play around with it some more. I also love the dimensional aspect of the piece. The flower spins and is offset on purpose. Everything has been riveted except for the pin mechanism. I think I had spring on my mind when I was thinking through this brooch project. Now it just needs a name. Anyone have a suggestion?
