My Aesthetic

My Aesthetic

March is "Meet The Maker Month" so I would like to take this chance to share a couple things about me. My name is Evia Ballard and I am the person behind the scenes.  I am the oldest of 5 girls. I grew up all over the world and moved every couple of years due to my stepdads job. I have two children Jacob and Alaina. Jacob has blessed me with Charley, my granddaughter and Ty my grandson. I also have a crazy active dog named Taz.

I went through a rebranding a couple of years ago. Originally my business name was Mixed-Up Creations due to my love for mixed media.  As my aesthetic changed  I incorporated more traditional metalsmithing in my work I changed my name to EB Creations Jewelry. You can still find my Facebook and Instagram accounts in both companies along with a personal account. I am looking forward to sharing more about myself and my company with you this month.

My Aesthetic is always evolving. I love texture, layers, lace and nature and those things play a big part in my work. This past year I have been working on developing the technical side of my work. Exploring different techniques in stone setting that I haven’t done before. So my days in the studio have been mostly about practicing and learning new skills. I’m excited to see where my art will go in the next year and you will start to see this technical side merge into my designs. You will continue to see filigree woven in my work also. There is something about the delicate lace like patterns that really speak to my soul.
